  • I am not employed by a broadcaster.
  • I am not a full time student.
  • The project I am submitting does not contribute to credits for a course or study.
  • I do not have any projects in default with Screen Queensland.
  • No key creatives attached to this project are in default with Screen Queensland.
  • I have an Australian Business Number (ABN).
  • If this project is an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander story, some or all intellectual property is owned by members of this community.
  • Additionally, from the 3 key creative roles (producer, writer, director), at least 2 separate roles must be held by Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people. If the Producer is not Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, there must be an early career Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander producer attached.
  • I have read and agree to SQ's Terms of Trade.
  • Regional locations will be used to shoot the screen story for at least 5 days during principal photography.
  • Queensland Regional Expenditure (QRE) is at least $100,000.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Story, Content and Characters

1. Does your story contain Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander story, content or characters? * Required

2. Does your project include any Indigenous heritage elements which include any of the following:

  • literary, performing and artistic works (including songs, music, dances, stories, ceremonies, symbols, languages and designs);
  • scientific, agricultural, technical and ecological knowledge (including cultigens, medicines and the phenotypes of flora and fauna);
  • all items of movable cultural property;
  • human remains and tissues;
  • immovable cultural property (including sacred and historically significant sites and burial grounds);
  • documentation of the Indigenous peoples' heritage in archives, film, photographs, videotape or audiotape and in all other forms of media.

Safe Work Legislation and Guidelines

Screen Queensland expects all applicants (including their employees and contractors) to comply with:  

(a) all legislation related to providing a safe workplace, including state and federal work health and safety, harassment and discrimination legislation; and 

(b) the Australian Screen Industry Code of Practice: Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Bullying and the National Safety Guidelines for Screen Safety. 

Screen Queensland may require applicants to demonstrate evidence of their safe workplace practices and this may be taken into consideration in assessment of applications.

The Code of Practice is publicly available at Screen Industry Code of Conduct (screenproducers.org.au) and MEAA Australian Screen Industry Code of Practice for Discrimination, Harassment, Sexual Harassment and Bullying - MEAA. The National Safety Guidelines are publicly available at National Guidelines for Screen Safety - Screen Safe Australia.
